Installed Software
License registration is handled by GoGrid. GoGrid owns the license to this operating system and Microsoft does not require any further action from GoGrid users to register the OS installed on this server.
SQL Server 2005 Express Edition is the next version of MSDE and is a free, easy-to-use, lightweight, and embeddable version of SQL Server 2005.

Security
Firewall
Windows firewall is enabled by default on all Windows server images. Firewall exceptions are as follows:

All other connections are disabled.
Automatic Updates
Automatic Updates are not enabled by default on this Windows server image. Updates are configured to download and install any recommended updates on a daily basis, but this is not enabled at deployment time. This image was updated with service pack SP2-R2 and was re-released on October 10, 2008.
